What is Nutrition?
Nutrition is the process of absorbing nutrients from food and processing them in order to keep healthy or to grow.
Eating healthy and exercising is not just about looking good. It is about your health and quality of life. It is about getting your body to perform to its optimum efficiency. By improving your metabolism, maintaining your energy levels that lead to more productive fat loss, improving your immune system, normalising blood pressure and cholesterol levels you can help prevent heart attacks, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other illnesses that can threaten your life if you don't take your health seriously.
Eating Plans
As part of your initial assessment our trainers will discuss and develop an individual nutrition plan to complement your training program. We don't believe in plans out of books, crash diets or computer programmes that create standard diet and exercise regimes. We develop a bespoke approach to meet your dietary needs and take into account your likes, dislikes, lifestyle, work, body type and medical history. We offer a common sense approach to eating and exercise so you'll know what and when to eat. You'll learn principles that not only maximise your success and get results, but also sustain and maintain your achievements. The good news is that we recommend you stick to the "80/20" rule, so rather than being good 100 per cent of the time, if you can stick with your eating plan for 80 percent of the time you'll succeed.
