Biosignature

Biosignature was developed by the world renowned strength coach Charles Poliquin (trained Olympic medallists in 12 different sports). It is designed to understand why and where people store body fat as a result of their hormonal profile.

Hormonal imbalances can lead to health issues such as weight gain, mental or physical stress and even things as serious as cancer.

The concept is to be able to re-balance hormones and spot reduce body fat dependant on individual needs. For instance, somebody with high insulin levels will store fat on their hips (love handles) this will indicate that there is a high intake of high glycemic carbohydrates and sugars. This person would need a different supplementation and nutritional programme to someone with high oestrogen levels (i.e. storing fat on triceps and leg area).

How can Biosignature help me?

Everybody is different and what works for 1 person will not always work for another. Where you store your body fat is an indication of your body's issues and areas that need addressing. The test will provide the direction resulting in a plan specifically designed for your needs. What does Biosignature involve?

  • A 40 - 90 minute initial consultation
  • Based upon the outcome of the consultation a programme will be designed to meet your individual needs
  • A follow up meeting 2-3 weeks after the initial consultation is required to enable us to monitor changes in your hormone levels and how they are responding to the lifestyle changes you have made
  • Your programme will last anywhere between 6-12 weeks depending on the programme you choose

What will the consultation consist of ?

  • A full account health check will be carried out
  • Body fat measurements will be taken from 10 different areas (cheek, chin, triceps, sub scapula, mid auxiliary, super iliac, knee, calf, gluten, pectoral)
  • Lifestyle and nutrition questionnaire with qualified practitioner will be completed

Analysis will be carried out on the above and based upon the results we will design a nutritional and lifestyle programme specific to you. The programme will be efficient and effective in addressing your bodies concerns and will be that stepping stone in helping and supporting you to achieve your goal.

What factors does the lifestyle and nutrition questionnaire take into account?

We will take into account things such as sleep patterns, stress levels (both work and lifestyle), digestion, hormonal levels, body fat content and much more.

A full account health check will be carried out and analysis done on all of the tests. Based upon the results we will design a nutritional and lifestyle programme to suit you and address your needs.

Are you fully qualified?

Our very own Tom Burton went to Copenhagen to study the Biosignature modulation and learnt it from the renowned performance coach Charles Poliquin. Tom is now a qualified Biosignature practitioner and has all the knowledge needed to compile your own personal Bio Signature programme.

How often should I have a Bio signature test?

Once you have had the initial test you will not need to undergo the full assessment again. However, you will have regular follow ups so we can monitor progress and adapt the plan if needs be, follow up sessions will be approximately 30mins
